What have I done for someone today?
Have I done any good in the world today?
You will never regret a kind deed done to someone in need.

Not the answer I was expecting.

We had the trio of Sister Missionaries over for dinner tonight. It was very fun and nice to enjoy their company. After everyone was done eating, Xiomara was chatting with Sister Larsen. Xiomara started out asking her to ask math questions to see if Xi could answer them. After a few, Sister Larsen changed the topic to the scriptures and asked Xiomara several questions about people, place, and stories from the scriptures. We would all join in and add some comments or other questions to continue the conversation. Eventually they asked Xiomara if she could recite the First Vision. Xiomara said she couldn't but that she knew the story so she started to tell it. Sister Bair handed her a booklet and so Xiomara read the quote directly from the book. When she had finished, Sister Larsen asked her, "What do you learn from that?" Xiomara pondered for a while and then said, "They are pure because they were so bright, and ..... (pause) they can fly." I couldn't hold back my chuckling laughter. I told her that I had never heard that response before. Usually, we focus on the fact that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are two separate people, but the flying bit was new. It was just a fun moment of learning and expression.
