What have I done for someone today?
Have I done any good in the world today?
You will never regret a kind deed done to someone in need.

2 months old!

I remembered to take the 2 month pictures, now I just need to pick the best one and get it printed so I can hang it on my wall with all the others. Maybe that will happen before the 6 month pictures, and maybe it won't. At least I have them!

Last Day of December!

We had an elephant and giraffe visit us.
I must say they were the cutest I have ever seen.

Napping is so hard.

Camdilyn has reached that awkward stage in life...
To nap, or not to nap.

When I mention going to take a nap, she doesn't want anything to do with it. But then she'll end up with a blanket sleeping on the couch. So she needs the nap, but fights it. It is easier to put her to bed at night without the nap so I'm not sure I care. But I do have to pay attention because it is really hard to get her to go to bed at night if she sleeps too long. Tricky business napping is.

Peas in a pod

And yet, they are so different. I am so grateful for their loving fun attitudes and their ability to forgive each other. It isn't always easy but they work together.

Builder Ben

Ben started working on his activity book from Christmas.
He is building a paper paddle boat.
I'll have to add finished pictures some day.

Day after Christmas!

With our family membership to the YMCA, we decided to go swimming! The kids were so excited! I dropped the baby off at the child care place (a little scary for me) and then joined them in the pool. Ben and Marissa were able to pass the deep pool test (tread water for 1 minute and then swim the length of the pool). We all spent most of our time playing in the shallow pool. The little girls had to much fun. I am sure everyone will improve in their swimming abilities as we utilize this wonderful opportunity!

After swimming, we went to the north end of town to visit Pet Smart. Three people picked out fish and four people picked out a prop for the tank. It looks much better with stuff in it.
Marissa picked out the columns. Emily picked out the plan. Xiomara picked out the clam shell with jewels. Ben picked out the ship wreck.

Say hello to Midwhite, Domonique's dalmatian molly.

Along with Silver, Kemiah's silver molly, and
Midnight, Harmonie's dalmatian molly.

Naomi is just cute as anything and growing really well!
We all love her and she is so sweet and happy!

Christmas Dinner and Fun

After forgetting to take pictures of Thanksgiving Dinner, I made an extra effort to document Christmas dinner. Since they were very similar I now have a record of both. Anyway, it was very delicious. We put a table in the living room for all the food. The oldest 5 kids and David ate in the library, while the adults and the younger kids ate in the dining room. It was great fun to have so many people over!

Felix and Camdilyn had a fun time playing together (mostly).

Lots of game playing took place, too!
How could we not when we received so many new games!

Yes, Ben and Dad spent most of their time upstairs playing Civilization.
Steve had to work until 7 so he came over later to grab a bite to eat and take Tamara and Felix home. We were glad to share Christmas cheer with him, even for a bit.

It was a wonderful day and so grateful to Jesus Christ for coming to earth, living a perfect life, and dying for us. He rose again and we will, too. What a blessing to have Christ in our lives. Live each day to be better than the day before, and try hard to be more Christ-like.

Christmas Day in Jammies

The older girls enjoyed their coloring books.

The younger girls enjoyed their giant princess coloring pages.

Naomi enjoyed sleeping after eating.

We enjoyed the rainbow from the fish tank.
(It will be a whole lot cooler with fish in it.)

Camdilyn enjoyed running around in jammies all day.

Ben and Dad broke out Civilization, Ben's new game.

They colored at their desks in their room.
