Stake Primary Activity

My three oldest girls went to the Stake Primary Activity - mini MTC - today. One of my awesome friends agreed to take them with her daughter so that I could stay home with the youngest girls (my husband and son were on a camp out). She even said she would bring the girls home after the activity - bonus for me so I didn't have to go out again. I had no idea she would treat them to ice cream on the way home! They were so thrilled and had such a wonderful time, at the activity and afterwards. She took them to her house and they played there for an hour. What a fun friend I have and my girls were spoiled.

We are so excited!

We are happy to announce that we will be having a baby! On Thursday, I was able to hear the heart beat and they squeezed me in for a quick ultrasound, so I got to see the active baby growing inside of me. I told the kids when I got home so they were very excited. It is always so reassuring to hear and see the baby to know (for now) things are good.

No way to salvage that one.

Has this ever happened to you? One of my children dropped a full jar of jelly on the floor. I'm pretty sure it landed on the bottom and then tipped over. I thought about how to save any of the jelly inside but soon realized that the entire jar was broken so I just tossed it all away. No need to have someone eat a small piece of glass. Oh bother.

Just had to do it again.

For April Fool's day we put food coloring in the bowls for breakfast. The kids stirred it up to see what they got. I did three bowls of each color and the kids loved it!

I went to a baby shower the night before and came home with a crock pot full of hot chocolate. It was leftover and they offered it to me. The kids really enjoyed having hot chocolate with breakfast!

This morning they wanted to do it again but I decided to do a rainbow! Everyone was surprised when the new colors appeared! Simple pleasures!

Sure makes breakfast a whole lot more colorful!

That's what I thought.

Harmonie came in from playing outside. She very matter-of-factly stated, "I ate sand."
Me - Yummy.
H - No. It not yummy. It yucky. It not food.

Well, that's what I thought, but she was the one who decided to eat it so I'm not sure what she was thinking. At least now she knows that it isn't yummy and maybe she won't eat it again.
