What have I done for someone today?
Have I done any good in the world today?

Fire and a sunset!

Kevin was busy burning some big chunks of wood when I noticed the amazing sunset - which also seemed to be on fire! I couldn't resist going out to capture it.

It was so warm by the fire. Hot, in fact. It was mesmerizing to watch the flames, and the sunset was just as amazing. I wanted to bring all the kids out to share in the moment, but they will just have to enjoy it through pictures because they were all inside in their jammies ready for bed. All except for Ben who was helping his Dad with the fire.

Art lessons and playing

Marissa is trying to teach the younger girls some art skills for one of her Personal Progress projects. She did some with Domonique and Harmonie, but she has also helped Emily and Kemiah. They enjoy learning from her and she is a good teacher. It is fun to watch all their skills improve.

Camdilyn was enjoying the birthday loot she received. She played with all her toys on the library floor. She is so fun to watch because she just does her own little thing. Sometimes she'll tell me to sit with her, "stay here" she tells me so I won't leave. Precious.

Lunar Eclipse

Yes, we stayed up to watch it and kept my four oldest kids up to watch it as well. We had such a fun time sitting in our neighbor's yard, swatting at mosquitoes, and watching the change in the moon. What a neat experience to share with my kids.

Camdilyn turns 2!

Because Fast Sunday was on her birthday, we ate pancakes with ice cream on Saturday. She didn't seem to mind and we all enjoyed singing to her!

She only sort of enjoyed her birthday dinner.

Grandma and Grandpa Nichols brought a big box and a wonderful ice cream cake! Everyone thought it was so cool!

She wasn't quite sure what to do with the candles,
so Kevin ended up blowing them out for her.

She was also very unsure about the presents.
I thought she'd be fine, after watching the other kids.
She took quite a while on the first one.

A book with pandas as the characters,
because Kevin calls her Panda.

She was much faster with the rest of the presents,
because now she knew what to do.

Stacking toy.

Russian doll (nesting doll) panda set.
She loves them!

So excited for the next one!

Loves the baby!

Really enjoyed the "told" ice cream cake.

First time having two pony tails!
Isn't she just adorable!
