2nd Day of the Family Fun

We spent lots of time at the lake - more swimming and kayaking and spending time playing together. This is they day that fishing really got exciting and so lots of the kids were trying their luck!

Aunt Alise provided the same fun activity again this year because everyone enjoyed it so much last year. The kids paired up and got right to work. They had lots of fun - and headed down to the lake after eating their treats!

Marissa tried to have Naomi try the whipped cream...

She was not happy about it.
I think she was ready for a nap.

Harmonie just swimming on her own.

Group of adult waters -
Monique took a nap.

A police boat came up for a visit. We all thought we might be in trouble. He gave anyone with a lifejacket on a t-shirt. He didn't count the water wings but he did count the ones in puddle jumpers on - so Domonique was the only one who had a real life jacket on, Camdilyn and Harmonie and one of the other cousins also got t-shirts. What a fun bonus!

No tubing but Gary did take people for rides out on the lake.

Tinlee caught a fish - at least three of them actually.

Go Kemiah!

More rides!

Going for their own ride!

Boys gathered around the hole.

She started out sitting up but I guess she got tired.
Eventually she gave up and didn't catch a fish.

Finally - he was so excited!

After dinner we enjoyed the first annual ice cream sculpting contest. We were all a little unsure of how it would go but it seems that everyone enjoyed themselves!

Harmonie really wanted me to take her picture with the turtle they found.

We put the sculptures in the freezer to set while we had our scripture moment.

Grammy started off talking about the memory box we gave them back in 2001.

We surprised her with new memories from all the grandkids and adults.

Nicole talked about staying focused on the Savior,
especially when we are confused or unsure.
He will always be there.

We were all excited to see the finished sculptures.
The Sylvester family made an owl.

The Mawby family made a bird.

The Roy kids made a walled fort.

The Payne family made a man.

The Denning family made a castle/house.

The best part was eating our creations!

What a great, fun filled day! The best part is just being together!

Oh, and there was lots of ping pong going on throughout the day, and into the night. With the tournament that Todd set up everyone was either playing their bracket or practicing with others to get ready for their match. It was fun!
