Beautiful camp site

We are on our way to the annual Payne Family Reunion, to be held in Grove, Oklahoma. It takes us two days to get there but we don't mind. We found a wonderful campground in Ramsey, Illinois and had a great time. The kids were quick to set up camp so they could go play on the playground.

Camdilyn and Harmonie were on chair detail.

Kevin was trying to hide from my shot.

What a great camp site! All those woods and no one else around.

Balance beam training!
Forget that the beam is not straight.

Naomi was just excited to be out of the car.

This is Kevin's latest brilliant idea. We bought 8 of these garbage cans and use them to hold all our gear. He wheeled off the one with the tents and the kids got right to work. He wheeled off the one with the chairs and the girls got right to work. The blankets and pillows were easy to unload and get into the tent. It was so easy! I hope they last a very long time!

Beautiful nature all around us.

Naomi enjoyed tasting nature.

Naomi loved the double slide!

The other kids were enjoying playing groundies.

Caught Ben swinging.
Every picture after this one he held his hat in front of his face.

Red headed woodpecker!
We even saw a few humming birds.

We enjoyed hot dogs for dinner, with chips and cherries. It started to rain a bit but the wind came along and blew the storm over quickly. What a blessing, for which we thanked our Heavenly Father. We roasted marshmallows and enjoyed smores before heading off to bed! It was really a great end to a long drive.

In the morning, we were able to clean up quickly because everything went back in the proper "tub" and that was that. We had sausages and cinnamon roll sticks for breakfast. Then we were on our way to the reunion. I think we will stop here again!
