Castle Museum Lego Exhibit

I took my crew to the Castle Museum again. Not to see the regular exhibits, but to see the Lego exhibit.

We all love to look in the miniature rooms that they have around the building. It's fun to turn the lights on and off and see all the small things inside.

We learned the history of the lion heads. They used to be on the "Cat Woman's" house. It is an old house in town that I have always loved but it is not in good condition. The city had it for a long time and have just now put it up for sale, even though they just want to tear it down and put in a parking lot. Too bad. Anyway, the lion heads are now kept in the Castle Museum.

Time for the Lego Exhibit - buildings and streets of Saginaw built up in Legos and it looked awesome!

The taller buildings are replicas of buildings in Detroit.

What a silly girl.

They had an animated movie to tell the history of Legos. It was really neat to watch. So neat we watched it several times.

Detroit.

We kept coming back to the movie. I think we have the story memorized so just ask us if you want the history of Legos. We know it all.

Star Wars baseball game

They had some buckets out for us to build with. The kids had fun but it was also frustrating because you couldn't find exactly what you wanted. Oh well, it was fun to just be creative.

We also had fun with the big blocks. Eventually the kids made a block house.

Camdilyn pushed Naomi around in the stroller. Just had to make sure she didn't knock into anything.

A Lego train went around the entire thing.

Peek-a-boo!

Xiomara's creation.

House with a roof so I can't peek inside.

My creation.

Xiomara's creations again.

Now you can see what my creation really is.....

Ben's creation - an airplane, of course.

Just before the roof fell down on one of my kids.

We had a really good time. It was a very neat exhibit because we all enjoy Legos. It's amazing what they can create with those little plastic blocks. I'm not sure any of us could handle going to a Lego Land place.
