We don't do this as often as we should!

I had to snow blow the driveway.

Camdilyn came out to help with the shoveling.

She was so excited to come and help - 

I'm glad her older sister took time to help her get dressed up.

All the little girls wanted to come out and play in the snow!

Emily was a big helper and very willing to play with the girls.

We really should do this more often. I wish I wasn't so lame. I wish I didn't mind all the went clothes and messes. I wish I was a little more free-spirited. I wish I would have more adventures with my kids.

Baby time and crazy hair day

 Harmonie really does love her baby sister. She tries to play with her and make her happy but sometimes she is just a little too crazy, wild and rough so the baby tends to not like her attention. Hopefully things will change once the baby is strong enough to withstand the attention.

 

 Xiomara spent quite a bit of time putting 30 braids into Harmonie's hair. Both were very patient.

 We all loved it when she twirled around!

 Camdilyn wanted braids, too!

Fun little girls! What a treat to have them playing together and enjoying time together.

This is what it's like to have a lot of kids

They worked hard to clear our driveway...

and the neighbor's!

And they had lots of fun doing it, too!

But I had to have a group photo!

So I took one without her.

And then she was happy to be in the picture.

Once the driveway was done, they came in to paint.

They had a great time painting their salt dough creations.

Something you didn't know

Xiomara, Kemiah and Domonique are learning about the different groups of animals. Today they are focusing on mammals and their characteristics. At lunch, we started talking about mammals that walk on two legs.

Me - "primates, humans and ducks." 

Emily - "Ducks are not mammals, mom." 

Domonique - "They lay eggs."

Me - "So does the platypus."

Xiomara - "So does the enchilada." (She meant to say echidna but has a hard time saying it and got a little confused.)

We all started laughing! What a great learning moment for us all! Next time you have enchiladas, make sure it's not time for it to lay an egg or you'll get a little something extra with your meal!

Soccer Camp

We did it again this summer, because the girls enjoyed it so much last summer! It was so fun to watch them go at it, for those who were familiar with it. Camdilyn was very shy and not interested in participating but eventually she held on to one of the leaders and she was okay - and really enjoyed it. I told all the girls that the only person who could bring home a ball was Camdilyn, since they all still have perfectly good soccer balls from last summer. They were fine with that - and enjoyed making new friends and having fun.
