Stop at Gettysburg

As we made our way to Massachusetts for a cousins wedding, we stayed at a campground near Gettysburg. It was a great stop. We spent time at the campground playing around and then went to see the historic stuff.
Eating/Cooking side of the site.

Sleeping side of the site.

Playing horseshoes

Swinging!

Super soft sand.

Ben's Double Ringer!

Gettysburg Visitor Center
We bought an audio tour that we listened to on Kevin's iPhone
as we drove to each site, and then we got out to look around.

A view of some of the battle field.

This is the stop where Harvey started to act up.

So we had some time to enjoy ourselves -
they found a caterpillar.

Naomi's new skill....
squatting to ...

standing ....

up with out hands or assistance!

Waiting for Dad to figure out Harvey's issue.
We had strangers who helped us - tender mercies of the Lord.

Ben's new trick!

Me with my oldest and youngest!
Really ugly sunglasses but they are polarized and awesome.

The smallest acorn ever!
I will be adding it to my key chain collection.

It was a very nice day and we were loving the history tour - until Harvey started acting up. We made it back to the campground and Kevin made a trip to Walmart for supplies but Harvey was fine after that.
The kids love riding their bikes around.

Really? And how can I tell if I'm going that speed?

We love swimming - but this was a little cold!

Naomi was not at all sure of this cold water stuff.

The pool was awesomely huge!
Deep end off to the left.
Kevin's in the shallow end.
Mid-depth off to the right.

Camdilyn slept through some of the swimming.

What a fun crew!

Back to the campsite for dinner and smores.
Gathered 'round the fire.

Tuckers out baby.

So sweet.

Gotcha! (He doesn't let me take his picture.)

Yummy soup!

Two little friends enjoying their food and some conversation!

Enjoying a plum!

We will definitely come back to this campground. We have more history to check out!
