Fake Birthday celebration!

Dinner was delicious!

Flank steak, Mr. Dell's potatoes, orange jell-o and veggies.

Oh so good, but I remember now why we don't have flank steak. ($$)

He is getting really good at cutting rounds into 10 pieces.

He is a chicken herder.

These chickens are so funny.

(It's probably true of most chickens.)

They love to come to us when we come out.

We usually give them food.

Benjamin is feeding them wheat.

Making Taffy

We made a batch of taffy today. Kemiah was so excited. It was a recipe from her Kitchen Science book and she is always asking to do something from it. The kids all enjoyed playing with the candy good. Camdilyn didn't want to play with it as much as she wanted to eat it. It was sort of difficult to work with and took some time to try and figure out how to control it and pull it and so forth. They really had fun. Ben was able to get the best method down and his turned a very light pink color because of all the air he was able to get into his portion. It never really set up at all so even though we cut it into pieces, it just "melted" together on the cookie sheet. They ate it anyway.

She's a roller!

She still has a bit of trouble getting her hands out but she'll figure that out soon enough. She rolls almost immediately after I put her down but then she gets mad when she's on her tummy because she knows there's so much more to do but she can't do it yet. She will eventually lay her head down and suck her thumb. She's growing so fast and yet she's still my little one!

Packing Party

We store food in juice bottles and milk jugs.

Kevin worked with the kids to get it taken care of.
