Birthday pancakes the next day

Since Benjamin's birthday was on the first Sunday of the month, we enjoyed fasting that morning. So we had his birthday pancakes this morning! He decided to color them green and add mint pieces! They turned out delicious with vanilla ice cream on top! Good job, bud! He also opened Grammy and Gaffa's card because we forgot to do that yesterday.

He's extra happy about having his picture taken over and over again!

Big boy Ben turns 15!

Ben had a normal day, as far as Sundays go. His sisters helped cut up strawberries for crepes - although Ben didn't ask for them, I wanted them so we had them. I made the lime sauce which is what he requested.

Best birthday present ever -
he got to snuggle with a sleeping Naomi.

Dad cooked the crepes -
yes, still in his white shirt and tie.

Birthday boy enjoying the deliciousness!

Nichols pie was his choice -
it is every year.
This year we just made two large pies.

Party time!

That's a lot of candles!
Don't get burned!

Card and jellybeans from the home teachers.

Candy and pictures from his sisters.

Noisy baby got moved to the other end of the table.

His birthday sign on the wall.
Pretty creative.

He has been playing racquetball with his dad in the mornings at the Y.
We figured a new racket would help his game improve.

And some faster balls...

I think he enjoyed the party and the presents. We all enjoyed the pie! Happy birthday boy! We love you!

Not quite, little one

The little girls were eating breakfast and I was trying to get them to hurry up so I could fix their hair for church. I worked on the older girls while I waited but they were still eating when I finished with Marissa, Emily, Xiomara and Kemiah. I tried to move them along saying, "I need to do your hair so hurry up." Camdilyn spoke up and said, "My hair is already doed." She shook her head so that the seven braids wiggled on her head. I explained to her that we still needed to fix her hair but I loved how she added 'ed' to do because I said we needed to do her hair. She figured it was already done because of the braids but we wanted it wavey so the braids had to come out. It all worked out and we had plenty of time but it's a great memory and I'll always remember when I doed things! Just wish I had a picture of the hair before and after. Ooops.

Silly little girl

Naomi was upstairs alone and ended up getting into the girls closet. She enjoys playing with shoes and so she had a good time. Until she was done with the shoes. She made her way down the stairs but can't open the door (strong latch) so this is how we found her....

Someone opened the door to go upstairs...

What a sweet little thing. We had to take pictures and then I took her up to bed. The life a toddler in our house.
