Price Nature Center

It was really fun to watch my girls on this walk through the woods. They were friendly and talkative and I just enjoyed it.

I love getting group shots of my kids. I need to do it more often so that I can look back and see them grow up all over again. It's fun to see their personalities in these candid/posed pictures.

We brought snacks for lunch and some of the kids wore hats. Harmonie had a hard time keeping up with all she had to carry. The hat wouldn't stay on and so she had to hold it with her hand if she wanted to run. She tried sticking her food bag up her shirt so she didn't have to hold it but that didn't work very well. I love having these little guys walk with me.

I also reflected on the time we came back in October... I was pregnant with Naomi and badly wanted her to come in October and feared she would wait until November. We walked and walked and then Kevin said, "You need to pick up the pace if you are serious about getting the baby to come." So I walked faster and we kept walking. I was glad I didn't have to worry about walking so fast this time.

Last Sunday of October

We took advantage of yet another wonderful day in October to walk through the Price Nature Center. We took a different route this time and I hustled my way through instead of walking at the back of the pack with the little girls. I had a few contractions by the end of our walk so maybe this baby will come in October. I tried to enjoy the beauty around me as we went.

We all enjoy the new tradition of shaking the trees bare.

The weather was nice, finally!

I wonder how long it will last!? We went for a walk in the Price Nature Center after church and lunner. It was so nice and perfect! We remembered to bring drinks so the kids handled it much better.
 And we're off.
 I love the peeling bark.
 Marissa found a white flower.
 Stopping for a drink.
Ben took this picture. He liked the hanging flower.

 Exploring and finding acorns.
 Got one!
 The wind up....
The release!

 Looking down into the river/stream.

Can you see the purple flowers?

My family even consented to taking a family picture - seeing as how the last one we took Camdilyn was a brand new baby. Obviously not professional but it'll do!

Price Nature Center with visitors

With the birth of our newest baby, Kevin's family came to visit. His mom showed up on Tuesday (10/1) and his brother showed up on Saturday (10/5). The weather has been beautiful so we went for a walk at Price Nature Center. I love autumn time for the colors and we enjoyed the lack of mosquitoes. I carried Camdilyn and she slept the whole time. We all enjoyed the extra company. Of course, we stopped off at the railroad tracks to see if they could collect any of their pennies, and they did find several. It was a nice trek.

Shaking the tree!

Colorful leaves covering the ground!

Looking for pennies!
