Goodbye for now

Thank you so much for a great, packed visit! Until next time...

Parting shots with the dog.

The good side...

Yikes!

Thank you for cooperating!

Last day randomness

Emily and Xiomara were having fun pretending together.
I don't know what about, but it was fun to see them so happy together.

Mischief, the big white poofy dog.

Playing with the toys for the last time.

Getting in a few last games.

Sleeping arrangements for the girls.

Ben's bed in the extra kitchen.

Starting fires with cattails and checking on the beehives.

Uncle Christ knows lots of stuff. He showed the kids how to start a first with cattail fuzz. If you want to be successful, you have to be prepared. I think they all like playing with fire.

Then he opened up the beehives to show us the honeycomb and let us taste the honey. What a great learning family moment. Some of the kids even chewed on the honeycomb wax.

Marissa getting suited up to help.

Everyone else was eager to watch.

Honeycomb.

Getting a taste.

Better example - so neat.

Playing at Memere's home

We enjoy playing games, reading and creating art inside or running around the woods and building forts outside. Lots of different things to do.

We've had this air hockey table for years,
but this was the first time we played with it.
Everyone really enjoyed it!

A game of whits between brothers.

The adults went off to Aaron and Julie's wedding, while the kids stayed home to finish making mac and cheese and watch a movie. The wedding was very nice and we enjoyed seeing everyone. The dinner after was very nice and catching up with family was fun.
