What have I done for someone today?
Have I done any good in the world today?
You will never regret a kind deed done to someone in need.

I really am pregnant.

I haven't been very good about taking pregnancy pictures this time around. Not sure why. I may have lost the ones I did take when I crashed my hard drive so maybe it doesn't really matter. But here's the latest - 37 weeks today! Let's see if we can have ourselves a baby next week!

You would think I would learn...

Back up all my photos and documents to the external hard drive! Keep it current and don't let it slide. I have lost too many computer hard drives/mother boards, and thus had to pay for someone to get the data off said hard drive because I didn't simply put a copy of it on the external drive. It happened once again. This time the drive was broken by me so it is my fault. I lost pictures from April - present that were on the computer's hard drive but I did not copy them to the external. I lost documents and so forth. Oh man! Fortunately, I did blog about a lot of those pictures here so they are saved in this form. But there are some that I didn't blog about so they are lost. This time, the magic computer shop couldn't get the information off the hard drive because it broke physically. Lots of lessons learned, and hopefully I'll actually change and do something different in the future. That's what learning is all about, right?!

Snow Flurries?!?!?!

I think we waited a little too late in the season but we just had to go! We should have gone last weekend but didn't think about it until Saturday was over. We went out to Johnson's Giant Pumpkin Farm, even though the temperature was only going to be in the high 40s. All the kids wore coats, hats, mittens and it was still chilly. We had a nice time anyway, and I remembered to put some quarters in my coat pocket so the kids could actually feed the animals. They really enjoyed that!

Kevin kept track of Camdilyn.

Have to stop by the blacksmith shack - it's warm.

First time to go to the Castle Museum trailer.
Learned more about the history of logging in Michigan.

They really got excited about feeding the goats!

And the goats were excited about feeding as well!

Hair sheep, rather than the wooly kind.

Waiting for the pumpkin launch and spotted Dad!

He brought us doughnuts!
Yummy!
Had to eat them quickly or the fingers would freeze.

After the launch, we headed back to go potty, stopped in to watch the doughnut makers, and look at the crafts for sale. It was then we noticed the snow flurries outside! Agh! Snow already! At least it didn't last long but that shows you how cold it was. It was nice to drive home in our warm van.

Friday Fun

I should have been doing this with the kids for the past two weeks. Well, the last week of September and the first week of October. They had two weeks of getting school work done really early and we should have gone to the park because the weather was great. Well, they all finished school by lunch time on Friday so we went to the park after lunch. They had so much fun playing and running around and getting "lost" in the woods. It was fun, even though it was a bit chilly.

Fire and a sunset!

Kevin was busy burning some big chunks of wood when I noticed the amazing sunset - which also seemed to be on fire! I couldn't resist going out to capture it.

It was so warm by the fire. Hot, in fact. It was mesmerizing to watch the flames, and the sunset was just as amazing. I wanted to bring all the kids out to share in the moment, but they will just have to enjoy it through pictures because they were all inside in their jammies ready for bed. All except for Ben who was helping his Dad with the fire.
