Swimming with Uncle Chris

Kevin's brother came out for a visit! The kids are so excited to spend time with him and play games and do anything other than school. We decided to go to the Y to swim for Family Home Evening. I wasn't feeling well so I stayed out with the baby. I took pictures but didn't do any swimming. Fortunately, with Kevin and Chris in the pool, the kids were amply entertained.

Extra visit to the dentist

Ben was eating cold cereal one morning, and a piece of a tooth came off. A few more pieces came off over a few days. Eventually, Ben told me he really needed to go to the dentist, so I made an appointment for him and Marissa (who had a tooth that needed to come out because the new one was coming up and she wasn't able to get the old one out). They both did great. Ben went first. It took a really long time and I sort of wondered what was going on. Eventually he came out and the dentist called us back to show what happened. Because of the way the new tooth was coming in, it had pushed on the root of the old tooth. When the dentist pulled the tooth, the root broke off so some was left behind. The dentist had to drill and hammer and work to get it out but it was worth is so Ben doesn't have problems later. It sure hurt but he'll be fine.

Bath time with the babies.

I decided to let Camdilyn have a bath with Naomi.

They were totally cute and loved it.

They also loved getting into their towels.

Naomi found her left thumb,

and thought that was great,

even though she was hidden in her hood.

Teaching and Learning

Camdilyn was sitting outside the kitchen, looking at a book. I came out to read with her. We talked about the pictures, what they were, colors, and so forth. Then she wanted to do it again. Harmonie had joined us and she took my place, asking Camdilyn what it was and what color it was. If Camdilyn hesitated, Harmonie would whisper the answer in her ear, then Camdilyn would repeat it. I had to capture the moment. It was so fun to be with them in this moment.

so she can keep her thumb in her mouth.

I am so glad they can enjoy playing out in the snow.
