All my kids are pretty smart, if I do say so myself. Naomi is right up there with them. At three years old she can already identify all the letters in the alphabet and make all their sounds (well, except for the letters that make more than one sound). I was going over them with her today and we got to the letter 'U' and I asked her what it was. She told me and then we tried the sound. I asked her what sound it made and she said, "U" so I said she was right, that the long sound of the letter was 'U'. She pointed to herself and said, "Me!" She thought I was saying "you"! What a funny girl.
Yesterday morning, as Kevin was getting ready to leave for work, he started to tickle me. I tend to get a little loud, so Naomi gently reminded me, "Mommy, remember. No screaming." I tried to be a little quieter, as I laughed at her reprimand.

Pumpkins, pumpkins everywhere
The kids did a great job growing pumpkins this year! It was so fun to watch them grow and when it was time to harvest you had to push the leaves out of the way and they kept finding more and more and more. The biggest one is called Juliet, and the next one was Romeo. We are ready to carve!
(10/26)
Do you see how thick the meat inside is?
That's going to be crazy to clean out.
(10/27)
The pumpkin was throwing up -
Ben tossed the seeds and stuff out the mouth.
It was really funny to watch.
We brought the smaller ones inside to carve.
Kemiah's pumpkin eating a pumkin.
Yikes!
Ben just scratched off the skin -
and put a flashlight inside.
It was awesome when it was glowing.
Can you tell what he did?
I went a little pie crazy for the Trunk-or-Treat,
but I was so excited and couldn't decide which one I wanted the most.
Pumpkin, cherry, banana cream,
derby, coconut cream.
Marissa made the coconut cream filling and
it won a prize at the Trunk-or-Treat!
We had lots of fun at the Trunk-or-Treat,
which they moved inside because it was wet and cold outside.
Just as well and easier, in my opinion.
The little marshmallow -
which is the same costume I have used since Benjamin,
for all the little ones for their first Halloween.
Domonique in her "Lego person" costume
The cardboard Lego costume was Kemiah's idea and she worked really hard to make it happen. I stepped in and helped a little, and gave her my old sweats so we didn't have to worry about painting the box. I guess everyone thought it was a pretty creative idea because they won the most creative costume prize!
Gypsy
Sisters
Gypsy'esk
Red Riding Hood
We were going for Piggie and Gerald,
but they could also be Pigglet and Eeyore.
Benjamin as Frodo (again) with his glowing pumpkin.
Can you see the tree of life vision?
Here's our "trunk" room.
If yo wanted candy, you had to stick your hand
INSIDE the jack-o-lanterns mouth.
(The red strap is there because I dropped it and it broke.)
Little Halloween friends -
marshmallow (of course) and Toothless
The whole scary bunch!

Trip to the Patch
I have no idea if I have duplicates or if they are in the right order. Just know that we had an great time at the farm, even though it was a bit chilly. It was fun to see RoseMarie interact with the animals and get so excited as she watched them. We took Elizabeth and Crystal Whitmore with us and we all had a great time! We do love Johnson's Giant Pumpkin Farm.
Pumpkin carving contest...
it was fun to stop by as they worked.
Amazing what they could do with some tools and a pumpkin.
Random order of kids and their heights this year!
Kettle Korn is so sweet!
A little dazed and confused.
Or just tired.
Can't come without watching and eating doughnuts!
Yummy!
And she gave up on the way home.
Couldn't stay awake,
and Ben was happy to cuddle with her.
Sweet tired baby -
almost one year old!
He's faking, she's not!
