Ouch!

She really is a tough kid. She loves to do most anything active so she won't ever sit still. She was enjoying the roller blades today, until she fell down and landed on her elbow. Can you see the bump?

I'm sure she'll heal up okay, but that might hurt for a few days.

What do you see out there?

I see some deer... and some water?!?! Yes, it's flooding again, and there are a ton of deer out in that field.

Oh, and that's the sun...

Finally complete

I was able to find a frame that worked really well with Marissa's painting that Kevin bought during the fundraiser auction a couple weeks ago. I think it looks great and is ready to go to the office.

She does have such a wonderful talent for art and I hope we can continue to help her develop and enjoy it. She impresses me with her skill and devotion to improve.

Random kid shots

These three little girls will play together nicely, most of the time. It was just a moment I had to capture. They don't do anything amazing, most of the time, but I love to watch them create and play and imagine together. I'm so glad they are willing to work together, share and have fun together.

I often look back in my mind when I had three little kids playing together - but it was my oldest three. They were fun to watch back then, doing similar things that these little girls do now. Time changes things but also keeps things the same.

Everyone enjoys Saturdays!

Camdilyn cat drawing in the library...

Baby found her hands in the living room...

Marissa learning art techniques in the school room...

Emily, Xiomara, Kemiah, Domonique and Ben building with Lego bricks in the playroom...

Marissa trying out watercolor painting because she finally decided on one to try...

Sweet sleeping baby...

Figuring out the drawing thing

Creativity at it's finest - at her mother's knees.

I love when they started to "draw" and think it is so amazing that they can "create" something. She was so proud and happy and thrilled.

Early reader... sort of

Naomi has started to enjoy books alone. She will flip the pages and look at the pictures. I really enjoyed watching her today, as she seemed to really enjoy the book.

She is so fun to watch, as she scampers to the bookcase, grabs a book, goes to the couch and gets all settled in to enjoy herself. What a cute little girl!

Two littlest girls

I am sure they will have time of frustration and irritation and annoyance... but for now Naomi just loves her little sister, and none of us know what RoseMarie thinks. It is always fun to watch the two youngest kids interactions.

Sweet little baby has found her thumb

It appears that RoseMarie may be a left thumb sucker.

We will see if she sticks with this one or switches things up
but it sure is exciting -
sleeping through the night here we come!

Just so Domonique

She has been putting in her own ponytails for a while, but they always turn out like this.

It just makes me smile and she is just going about life with crooked ponytails. I love that girl.

Science is sort of fun

Emily had a physics project and had to make a magnet. I tried to help and we gathered the items and did the best we could...

At least it was a hands on sort of thing and she applied what she was learning... I guess. It was kind of frustrating because when we watched it online it looked really easy and worked really well. We just couldn't get it to work well enough to pick up one paperclip. It's the process that counts, right?

This is going to be weird

I guess you always know that some day this is going to happen. (You can't really tell but that's Benjamin in the driver's seat!)

When Ben turned 15, I waited for him to get on the ball about driver's ed. Now he has his permit and has turned 16, but he is in no rush to actually drive and get the hours needed for the next phase of classes and then move on to have his actual license. So, I took the opportunity to snap a picture of him in the driver's seat when he left with his dad this morning. He just has no where to go on his own - he goes to work with his dad, school is where ever he is, and his dad goes to church activities as well. Some day he'll want his license and will want to learn how to drive. He just really doesn't like the manual transmission. Some day he'll be able to wash the white van and drive that around.

Harmonie turns 6!

Happiest birthday wishes to our happy Harmonie. Since her birthday is on Sunday, we will have pancakes and ice cream tomorrow. Marissa helped Harmonie with the cake on Saturday so it would be ready for today. Harmonie asked for Darth Vadar and I talked them into just putting a flat picture on the cake, instead of trying a 3-D head.

Opening Grammy and Gaffa's card.

Finished cake.
I think they did a great job.

Getting a birthday call from Grammy and Gaffa.

I put it on speaker phone so everyone cold hear their wonderful song.
(They will often alter the song depending on the age of the person
so it's really fun to hear what they sing each time.)

Party crew!

Singing happy birthday while dad brings in the cake
is our standing tradition.

Not very nice - he split the candles up!
Big breath...

One side done...

Now the other...

Sorry about the smoke guys!

Baby holder for the party.

Drawing of a cat from Camdilyn.

Pepere and Jerry sent a package.

wings

headband

She asked for these... Lindor chocolate balls

She asked for this one, too.

And this one.

And this one.
Do you see a trend in the things she asked for?

We love Gerald and Piggie.
5 stories in one book!

Everyone wants workbooks for their birthday, right?!?!

Fun game off the neat books.

It was a good birthday. We all enjoyed the Darth Vadar chocolate cake with ice cream. It was fun to celebrate Harmonie. She is so happy, most of the time. She is very energetic and excitable. She loves to play and run. She tends to look for the good in things - people or situations or events. We love out sweet little Harmonie!
