Almost 6 months old! Almost mobile!

She's getting there!
She's working on it!
She's so big and strong!
She still stays put.

Where, oh where, has Spring time gone?

OH where, oh where can it be? I am not really sure what's going on with our weather. (In general because lots of places have been having strange weather.) We had a very mild winter, with very little snow. After the groundhog predicted an early spring, we actually had spring like weather. It was absolutely glorious. Then freezing temps came back, and we actually had snow! (Nothing like what the Rocky Mountains received out west!) It is now the end of April and we are back to cold weather. I would really like to enjoy spring before summer hits. Then again, maybe we won't have summer this year.

Parting pictures

We decided to take some pictures before we left. This is why it takes us a little longer to get out the door. There are so many of us! Just thought it would be a good time to get pictures of each individual with their grandparents.

It was Marissa's idea, because she wanted to draw a picture and needed a reference to go from. It was sneaky but it worked and she made a wonderful picture for Grammy and Gaffa. Unfortunately, I don't have a copy to show but take my word for it, it was great. We had a wonderful visit with Grammy and Gaffa! Thank you both for letting us come out to play!

Playing at the park

We like to go to the park when we visit. They always go to the merry-go-round first. (Why is it even called that because it doesn't make me merry. Sick-go-round is what I call it.) Gaffa still gets them going so fast that they slide off if they aren't hooked on securely.

Teeter-tottering is a much better game to play.

Seems like a strange place to build a nest.

Working on their balancing and cooperating skills!

Evening activities

Okay, so we weren't all that active at night but we did have fun hanging out. Last night we spent some time talking, or listening to Grammy and Gaffa talk about their childhoods. We looked at some old pictures, asked questions and enjoyed learning about them. I regret not video taping it! I guess we'll just have to do it again some time and record it!

Hot Dogs and Smores

Another wonderful memory tradition is having hot dogs and smores out in the backyard. Gaffa has a wonderful fire pit and we enjoy our time together. For my family, we may need an extra table but we make it work.

Yum!
