Scones or Sopaipillas
My family called them scones, but I think they are more like sopaipillas because they are fried and scones are baked. Either way, I have wanted to make them for quite some time but never did it. Finally, since we were having fried wontons for dinner, I decided it was time to make them! They turned out perfectly! Just as I remembered them! They were delicious with the honey butter mix I made or with honey drizzled over the top (as some of the children decided to eat them). It was so worth it! Keep in mind I use our deep frier out in the detached garage because I don't want my house to stink for days so it was really cold while I fried all our food for the evening, and still worth it! I will have to make them again soon!

Crocheting Superstars!
The girls go through spurts of crocheting. Some of them have the knack and some of them just keep trying. Emily is one who has the knack. She made this sweater for her stuffed animal.
She doesn't follow a pattern. She just does it.
Kemiah is also one who has the knack. She has made several balls all on her own. She also made this little outfit for her stuffed animal. Again, no pattern. She just did it.
Creative juices are flowing around here!

Hauling wood to the basement.
We had a nice day, and no wood in the basement, so we went outside to move some wood! I'm glad the kids were such great troopers and we had a lot of fun. They would bring their sled over to the pile, I would put in 4 or 5 logs, and they would haul it around to the other side of the house to toss it into the basement. They just kept going and it worked really well!
Something shiny!
They even stayed outside to play!

More Snow Fun!
The kids have really been enjoying the snow! I'm glad they can do that because I just like to watch it fall while I'm warm inside. I did take time to run outside and take pictures today.
They had such fun!
Emily was building behind the wood pile.
Domonique was trying to shovel.
Kemiah was building between our driveway and the neighbor's driveway.
They had such fun!

Random Camdilyn
Sweet little girl! She is now 16 months old.
She is starting to say words that we can understand.
She loves to go outside - even if it is cold!
She has been sick for the last week -
so that hasn't been much fun.
Jan 16 - playing in the living room
Jan 19 - laundry baskets make great boats, or beds, or sleds.
She can hold her own bottle,
but usually I still hold her on the couch and snuggle.
Jan 24 - she will use anything to rub in her ear.
Jan 31 - Love watching her sleep.
